ABOUT  THIS SITE

This site is a place to celebrate huts and hutting in Scotland. Thanks to the Thousand Huts Campaign it is now possible, in Scotland, to apply for planning permission for a new type of building; a "Hut". Huts are small (less than 30 square meters floor area), removable at the end of their life and usually made of timber, preferrably local timber. Huts are for occassional recreation only. You can't live in a hut.
